Having problems with old .gno files can cause conflicts, resulting in errors when saving the Genomap. This may be due to incompatibility between the old files and the current software version. To avoid this situation in the future, you can regularly check and clean up unnecessary files. If the problem recurs, consider contacting support for further advice.  rice purity score meaning

I don't know how this may explain the reported problem but I have found a second dataset of approximately 400 .gno files that have not been updated for several years. When I closed GenoPro and renamed the old folder of gno files, everything then worked as normal when I restarted GenoPro using the approx 700 .gno files that it had been using before the problem arose. It is now almost as if there had never been a problem.

I am sorry if anyone else has been spending a lot of time trying to find a solution. With this further information, can anyone see a possible reason for the message displayed when an unsuccessful attempt was made to save the Genomap? It is no longer necessary to update GenoPro 2.5.4.1 as that has now been superseded but it would be good to avoid the situation possibly recurring at the latest level.

I have not changed Back-up software but Anti-virus did update automatically as part of latest start-up this morning (in NZ for last 15 years). I don't know when previous AV update took place but may have been before problem appeared. Condition still remains.

Have you updated/changed antivirus or backup software recently?

Thanks for the prompt suggestion but it does not seem to be appropriate when running GenoPro 2011. Tools/Options does not include the same list of options:

I am not aware of having changed anything to do with the setup of GenoPro for more than a year so am rather stumped as to what may have produced the failure to save now all of a sudden. Everything was working fine a week ago.

After more than a decade of successful GenoPro 2011 usage and more than 700 linked trees (using External Hyperlinks), I have recently been stopped from making updates to those trees. It is not just the latest amended tree that is affected but also all those that have not been changed.

Unable to write file
'C:\ ... \xyz.TemporaryBackup20241004.gno'.

Access Denied. Unable to create directory and/or file because of security permissions. Please make sure the file or folder is not read only.

None of the .gno files are Read Only so what is the matter and how did it come about? Please can someone explain in simple terms and suggest what I need to do to correct? Thanks.
