I switched hosts recently and uploaded the report to the new server last night and I can't figure out how to get rid of the pop up.

I have referenced http://support.genopro.com/Topic15280-60-1.aspx on this supject, tried everything advised there and still I get this pop up.

The only thing I haven't tried is editing the config.xml file in skins and that's because it's not editable.  If I could edit it, maybe I could fix this problem.  I don't know how to customize skins or I'd create my own skin and then remove the code forcing this pop up.

Can anyone help me???

Thanks so much!!!

If you are using a different server you need a different API key. This is set out in
http://support.genopro.com/Topic14264-60-2.aspx#bm14407
Get a key for your server and paste it into the Config.xml that is in the Skin folder you use to generate your report

Thanks so much.  I will try that.  I never actually went for the new key because I thought I could eliminate the problem by editing the tags and such.

Thanks BigGrin:

That's a good question.  The Google Maps is useful to display on a map the places in your genealogy tree (such as place of birth, place of death, place of work, etc).

The report generator should not generate code for Google Maps if there are no places in the genealogy report.

Not only that, but prior to creating your report, you get a pop up  asking if you want to edit the conf.xml file.

If you say yes, there is a section specifically related to Google Maps where it asks if you want them in the report.  I tried several times to click no and to remove everything in that section so to leave it blank.

It didn't listen and gave um to me anyway.  Oh whell.

Thanks

Ok so I went and retrieved the key and it still didn't work.

So, I thought I'd delete the report from the server and reinstall it and IT WORKED.w00t

So there ya go.  Uninstall and reinstall it and it should work, or at least it did for me.

Thanks ya'll.
