I keep getting the following error message and GenoPro crashes while I'm doing normal editing of individual records.

GenoPro 2011 - Picture Your Family Tree! has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I have used GenoPro for years and have never had this problem before.
It has happened repeatedly for weeks now and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling GenoPro 2011 to no avail.
I am running Windows 7 and usually have my browser and e-mail open but not much else.
The rest of my system is perfectly stable.
Windows does not come back with any further messages,

Which version of GenoPro are you using?  The most recent version is 2.5.3.9.

If you can reproduce the problem, can you please send me a sample .gno file to reproduce the crash.  Thanks.

I am running version is 2.5.3.9.  I guess it comes and goes because it's not happening right now.  I have learned to save frequently after unfortunately losing some changes in the past.  I have only one file, my composite research database, which I have been using for years, adding and editing along the way.  I keep a backup at all times.  Is it possible that the file has become corrupted?  It loads fine, with 0 errors reported.  Is there a way to diagnose the file for glitches?  If no one else has this problem then I guess I'll just have to live with it.

Feel free to send your file at support at genopro.com and I will open it under the debugger.  The debugger does literally million of asserts to make sure the data is coherent.

I received your file and I cannot find any error.  My feeling is GenoPro has a bug causing the crash.  If the crash occurs again, please tell me a bit the scenario so I can reproduce the bug.

It's happening again.  I am simply opening and closing individual records, cutting and pasting from an Excel Spreadsheet and then GenoPro crashes.  I have the search dialog box open and then double-clicking on the tree to open an individual... which is when it usually crashes.  Sometimes it crashes when I close the individual and resume searching.  Either way, I get the same Windows error message I have described above.  I lose all the changes I have made and GenoPro does not remember the file which was last open.  Is there a memory usage setting I need to adjust?  It seems like a memory overload problem of some sort.

I sent you my file above.  It's the only file I use.

I am unable to reproduce any crash on my machine.  Can you give me a step-by-step scenario.  For instance:

1. I edit the properties of Mary Ann Fondy and change her middle name to Anne.
2. I search for all names containing Ann.
3. I open the Table Layout and copy the entire table to the clipboard, and get the crash.

The crashes have happened dozens of times under many different circumstances.  I really think it is a memory allocation problem.  Is there a setting for this within GenoPro?  Or could there be a conflict with something in my system?
