Fixes for Narrative Report and Export to Gedcom under Windows 8 now available for download from this forum.
Note however that under Windows 8 the Internet Explorer 10 dialogue window does not receive focus when ready, so needs to be restored from Task bar to view/change. The other reports that use the Configuration Parameter dialogue will also need amendment. I will attend to these in due course.

So Ok no response to my last post but I have gone ahead and loaded Windows 8 Release Preview and tried it myself. Turns out the problem is IE 10 rather than Windows 8. Reports run ok if Configuration Parameters dialogue is not used. IE10 is used to generate the dialogue and fails silently when createElement is called with angle brackets in parameter.
I am working on a solution which hopefully will be available shortly.

Could you please say which veriion of the Narrative Report skin you are using so that I can investigate this error further.

N.B. PDF images for GenoMaps will not be generated as the Inkscape package must be installed for this but Inkscape was not found on the path specified (or defaulted) in Config Parameter 'InkscapePath' (C:\Program Files(x86)\Inkscape)
