In output below ( RTF format, HTML displays chracters correctly ) you see in line e2.:
“…kuoli Kesä 28… correct format would be “…kuoli Kesä 28,…” – why this peculiar character “Kesä”?

As you see above the system is capable to express also “ä” elsewhere eg. “…Heinä 31…”

I presume that the word Kesä (summer) has been obtained from your Finnish Dictionary.xml. Please ensure that it has been saved in UTF-8 encoding. Once saved as UTF-8 check the appearance of the word Kesä in your Dictionary.xml.
If all appears to be correct but the problem still arises then I would need a copy of your Dictionary.xml and a small sample .gno that exhibits the problem.

Hello
I modified the "Dictionary.xml" with "UTF-8" setting. After this I did not see improvement. Would you please look at attached files:
- dictionary.xml
- SiipolaKäännös.gno (removed for private complain)

Thanks for the files and hopefully I now have a fix. (n.b. initial attachment was incorrect, revised attachment now added)
The correct code sequence was being generated (\u228) but WordPad doesn't know how to display it, although strangely sometimes gets it right. Adding a codepage directive to the header of the RTF file seems to fix it. I'll convert the skin to the HTA tabbed Config dialog shortly but don't know how long that will take me so have released old skin with fix. btw , the date in your post title , 2013-03-11, is for the Descendants Report skin, not the Descandant Tree Chart skin, last updated in April 2011, that has this bug.

Sorry for writing wrong posting title, "2013-03-11". The excuse is that I was also updating latest Descendants -report at the same time and obviously therefore wrote wrong title.

Hello again
I wonder why when "clicking" camera -symbol in my report, the system shows (see attached dokument "foto.doc") that it does tries to find the photograph but nothing happens ( I waited several minutes ). Have you met this kind of feature or have I forgotten something important. I have generated "Narrative" report (without this, the foto symbols are not showed in "Descendent tree" report). BR, Jarmo
