When I export files from my .GED files to .GNO files usingthe following compatibility solution, found in the Forum, the files created arenot usable by GenoPro and as near as I can tell not usable by anyone else. The procedure used is as follows:
Select the file
Export, to GEDCOM Format
(Enter the destination path for the resultingfile)
Chose Charset “(UTF-7) (65000) Note: (UTF-8) required in the forum solutionwas not an available option.
(Pressed Enter)
(The GEDCOM file created is not usable byGenoPro. When attempting to import theGEDCOM file created, the following message is received: Cannot import text file because its formatis unknown to GenoPro. Please supply avalid XML or GedCom file.
