Hello
I subscribe to your software.
Recently I've run into a problem I report generator
Error at line 67 (default.htm): Invalid procedure call or argument: '[string: "(null)"]'
And I can not find a solution on your website, although a lot of people complaining about the same problem, is there no solution? There is also no option to download the "Narrative Report" from any place you turn to, and you turn to download, GenoPro
Sincerely
Yehuda Almog

This is the major problem with GenoPro and as you have seen has caused problems for many people.
If you have not found the solution you need http://support.genopro.com/Attachment1681.ashx
This is found on the forum as part of the Report Generator thread at http://support.genopro.com/Topic28332.aspx.
This thread also has a link to instructions on installing new skins.

You are not quite correct in saying "no option to download the "Narrative Report" " as the instruction page about installing GenoPro does include the link but this is well down the page and not particularly well displayed.

My guess is that the basic program has to include the basic Narrative Report - which does not work - in order to open the menu that allows you to add new skins. When the program is first installed the skins folder does not exist and is created when you add a new report.

However the basic (defective) report still exists and can be run. It seems to me that this should be changed so that trying to run this report opens a page saying "Update needed " and a link to the Topic28332

If you are still getting the same error then you are still running the built-in Narrative Report and not the downloaded one. Either you have not installed it correctly or you are not invoking the updated skin from the drop down list of skins.   Try reading http://support.genopro.com/Topic30691.aspx again.

I can only reiterate you are NOT RUNNING the updated skin, but instead are still running the skin built-in to GenoPro!  The 'error at line 67' can only occur with the built-in skin.

If you have properly unzipped the download skin into a folder BELOW your nominated skins folder then that folder will appear in the drop down list of Report Skins in the Generate Report dialogue and you can select it and run it.  I believe this is explained in the link I provided in my previous post.  If possible ask a fresh pair of eyes to read through to try and discover what you are doing wrong.

If you search this forum for say 'line 67' you will find many many users having the same difficulty as you.  Unfortunately GenoPro Inc.  have still not provided an updated genopro.exe with the updated skin built-in.

The error only occurs when choosing to display Configuration Parameters a a basic standard report can be generated that way but you will not have the many new features of the updated report.

Modern browsers have more 'security' features and make it more difficult to open HTML reports stored on a local disc than was previously the case.  Ideaaly you should generate the report on to a web server such a familytrees.genopro.com or run a web server on your PC (e.g. nginx) and use that.  This then uses the HTTP scheme/protocol father than the FILE scheme/protocol.

Failing that you can click the 'Allow blocked content' button in IE to allow the javascript in the report to do its job.  You can also adjust settings within IE to always allow local script to run.

It you try and run the browse the report locally with same the Chrome browser you will fall foul of the 'same origin' domain security policy as Chrome does not consider local files in a sub folder to be in the same (null) 'domain' as files in the parent folder!!

You need to download the latest Narrative Report Skin  (see  http://support.genopro.com/Topic28332.aspx); and VERY IMPORTANT, it should be installed into a directory UNDER your "Skins" folder
It should be like C: \ Users \ yehuda \ Documents \ GenoPro Reports \ Skins \ Narrative_2014.08.14
I have just checked  the above by downloading the latest Narrative Report Skin, and then installed it to a  directory UNDER my skins folder, When I run the the report generator, it operates correctly.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that the downloaded Report Generator is installed to a directory UNDER the  "Skins" folder, or Genopro will not be able to find the latest  report generator.
I hope this helps you to resolve your problem.

I have the same problem but I do not understand how to fix it. The second link you provide does not work. The first link downloads some files and what am I supposed to do with them after I unzip them?
I would be grateful for your help, I have been using Genopro for more than 6 years but only on my computer as I am not able to upload my family tree.
