It has updates to the Kinship Calculator in all four existing language versions DE, EN, FR & NL-BE. I have attempted to normalise the scripts for these versions and they now share common 'Code' folder. Changes have been made to the Dictionary.xml files to allow for this 'normalisation'. I have also modified the Narrative Report skins to share with the Kinship Calculator the same 'Code' folder under a folder named just 'Common' rather than 'Narrative Common'. These skin folders now have a placeholder folder named Code that gets replaced by the revised bootstrap script on first run with a link to the Common\Code folder. Use of the placeholder folder removes the need to click 'Generate' again after the link is created. I recommend that you create a new GenoPro Report Skins folder and download and unzip the attached file into that folder. You can then direct GenoPro to use this new folder under the Options tab the the Tools/Generate Report dialogue. This will allow simple regression to previous versions of the skins should you deem it necessary, i.e. if I've got something wrong!

Confused
In the previous version, the "(EN) Narrative Report / bootstrap.vbs" code contained a series of messages that needed translation like msgChkFldr = "Checking for folder "
These were removed from bootstrap.vbs and now show up in the "Common / code / ConfigMsgBase.xml" file
but also in the "(EN) Kinship Calculator / config.xml" file
Is this correct?

I wanted to make the bootstrap routine more generic and avoid yet another language specific file that translators had to be aware of, so I moved the messages to Config.xml and the English defaults into Common\Code\ConfigMsgBase.xml and changed the prefix from 'msg' to 'boot'. The copy of the messages in {EN} Kinship Calculator\Config.xml is not really necessary but I put it in to serve as a ' template' for translations. I did make a stab at changes to all the translated messages. bootstrap.vbs, or bootstrap.js for JScript Skins, now invoke a common VBScript Common\linkcode.vbs that does the Junction link checking and generates the bootstrap messages. It first looks for the message in ConfigMsgLocal.xml if present, otherwise Config.xml and if required tag not found defaults to ConfigMsgBase.xml.

OK. Got it. The new structure looks better to me. Also did some simple tests using the files straight out of the ZIP kit (like a new user would do). EN Narrative Report - runs OK EN Descendant_Tree - runs OK EN Descendants Report - no report produced (can someone else confirm this?) EN Kinship Calculator - runs OK (some remarks on the report were made elsewhere in the forum) NL-BE Verhalend Rapport (= EN Narrative) - runs OK NL-BE Afstammelingen Schema (= EN Descendant_Tree) - throws an error for Config.xml at line 15 because DescendantTree.js is missing (and possibly others). NL-BE Afstammelingen Rapport (= EN Descendants Report) - throws an error for Config.xml at line 17 because Main.js is missing (idem). NL-BE Verwantschap (= EN Kinship Calculator) - runs OK EN Descendants Report [ UPDATE]: The 'Parameter Settings' form is not displayed, so I could not select the output medium. I did a regression test with 2020-04 and there it works. The form is displayed and the report is produced.

{EN} Descendants Report runs ok for me with with OpenOffice installed. Don't have MS Word so can't check that.
I was aware of problem with { NL-BE} Afstammelingen Schema and {NL-BE} Afstammelingen Rapport.
I just downloaded them from your website without realising they were not the full skin (no scripts). Should have read your instructions and tested!
Will fix soon but have been working for couple days on an idea to implement a shared dictionary without any changes to GenoPro.exe. Its nearly ready so hopefully will include in next update. Essentially its a skin, say {NL-BE} Shared Dictionary, that holds the Dictionary.xml to be shared and when excuted creates soft links to it for all other skins for the same language.

Anbei eine Uebersicht ueber die passenden Ordner mit den Dateien. Im Ordner `local" ist die Datei mit den Uebersetzugen fuer die Parameter Setting Datei. Noch nicht fertig uebersetzt.

Danke, aber mit denneuen Skins und der Umbenennung des Ordners "Narrative Common" in"Common" startet der Nachfahrenbericht nicht mehr. In meinerFehlerbericht.jpg sieht man das GenoPro einen "Narrative Common"Ortner sucht. Ich finde nichts woich dies ändern könnte. Mit meiner altenKonfiguration geht es noch.

The scripts for the various translations of the descendants report are out of stepwith each other. I am working to provide a common code base for all versions. Die Skripte für die verschiedenen Übersetzungen des 'Descendants Report' stimmen nicht überein. Ich arbeite daran, eine gemeinsame Codebasis für alle Versionen bereitzustellen.

Danke, jetzt läuft läuft es wieder! Der Pfad „Narrative Common“ war nur ein Problem. Das „{DE} Die Nachfahren-Skin“ läuft nur wenn in …/Code/local nicht nur die ConfigMsgDE.xml vorhanden ist, sondern auch die ConfigMsgEN.xmlliegt. Erst die startet das „Descendents Report-Parametereinstellungsfensterfür die Präsentationseinstellungen. Genau das gleiche Problem hatte ich mit dem „{DE} NachkommenBaum-Skin“ im englischen der „Descendant_Tree-Skin“. Dieser Skin braucht auch ConfigMsgDE.xml und ConfigMsgEN.xml. Als Anlage meine 2 Skin in deutsch  warum sieht das immer anders aus als ich schreibe?
