So I wondered why this request appeared to me to have such weird dimensions, 47,24409" x 16,5354" ?

Well in the UK we use full stop/period as a decimal separator, but I am aware comma is used on continental Europe, so 47.24409 x 16.5354 inches.

Next I tried conversion to millimetres and hey presto we have 1200mm x 420mm, much more understandable!

A0 landscape is 1189mm x 841mm so just a fraction, or 11mm,  short of the required size in width and easily accommodates the height required.

So as Nand suggests create an A0 PDF and take to a print shop

If you genuinely want to do this, it's going to be a lot of additional work.

First you need to export a GEDCOM file from your current software, and then import it into GenoPro.

When you initially display it in GenoPro, it will be a tangled mess, since the individuals in your tree don't have x and y coordinates yet.

Before you spend the hours it will take to untangle your tree, go visit your local print shop and figure out what your plotting options are.  Some shops will only do A0.  Others will print a 4' high roll for 100' or 150'.  Others will have 5' rolls or 6' rolls.  Larger paper sizes will cost exponentially more, and prices can vary significantly from shop to shop.

I'd recommend picking one ancestor, maybe 6 or 7 generations back, and plotting all of their descendants.  It's difficult to estimate how many hundreds (or thousands) of people that might be.

Once you know the cost to print and the limitations, and approximately how many people you want to display, create a box around the perimeter of your genomap in GenoPro, and use the appropriate sizes to get all the generations to fit in the amount of real estate you have.  There are guidelines for how big a font should be on a poster when you are standing 3' away.

Print to a PDF file with a printer setup of paper size A0 (841 mm x 1189 mm, or 33.1 inches x 46.8 inches) corresponding to 16 A4 sheets combined.
Then go to a print shop to get the drawing printed on a A0 plotter.

A recent file on GenoPro contains c.95000 Individuals, each with many pieces of infomation.
You do not mention the style of report you are looking for. The main starting point in GenoPro is a family tree diagram and this can be printed in a variety of ways at different sizes. However a tree more than a few hundred indiviuals is difficult to look at. The approach used is to split the tree into linked sub trees.
Various text reports are included such as Ahnentafel, Ancestor or Descendant or a Narrative Report

Hello,
I have a tree in Root Magic 8 it is 1,769,489 entries/records   It covers 4000 years

I tried to print my 33 GGF descendants, it didn't happen, I allowed thirty minutes for it to process - IT DIDN'T       Will your software process this much.

William Wallace (braveheart is my 32st GGU)      "William the Conqueror" is my 25th GGF - Tila of Hun is 44th GGF   a lot work unable to print.

Ancestral Quest software could print large files, 36,000 pages  70 reams of paper, but couldn't handle the growing tree (at this time tree was 1.6 million) so have added a lot more with roots magic.

Please tell you have a program that can print large files - my computer is at 16 MB Ram   computer that handled 36K pages was 8 MB Ram.

Here's hoping,
