Sometimes an image rotated in Windows does not have its EXIF data updated to reflect the required rotation. To fix this open the image in IrfanView and press Shift & J (N.B. requires the IrfanView plugin 'Lossless jpg rotation/crop' to be installed) In the resulting dialogue select the required rotation if not already correct in IrfanView and ensure Rebuild EXIF is set

Just out of curiosity, did rebuilding the EXIF data in IrfanView fully fix the orientation across all views in GenoPro, or did you need to reinsert the image afterward? I’ve seen cases where Windows rotation looks correct locally but still causes issues in other programs.

Jarmo (09-Sep-2025)
Hello My photo is displayed sideways not upright as expected. Is there a procedure to correct this? BR, Jarmo Hi Jarmo, This usually happens due to image orientation (EXIF) data. Please try opening the photo in an editor, rotate it 90° and save it again (even if it looks correct), then re-upload it. That typically fixes the issue. If the problem continues, let us know what device and browser you’re using. Best regards.
