I had always assumed that a tag was a pointer to a field in a database and had not worked out how we could use the tag editor. Looking at the editor and at Custom tags did not help much, so I left it alone until the reference to siblings.twins. I had not realised this tag existed. Having had a go with the editor there are two questions now. I have found that if you just add text into the editor, eg 'Lodger' for an individual, this creates a column in the Table and so presume a new field is also created. So:- 1 In the editor, what is the difference between the two panels: Dialog Layouts and Tags for Dialog Layout 'Custom Tags'. I used the second as it seemed less likely to cause problems as it appears to be a lower order. 2 having created a Tag, how do you use it. Am I correct in assuming the only method of adding data is through the Table? Presumably the Report Generator can access it, if it is told that it exists. So Yes Yehudad: are there any instructions on using the Tags and Editor?

The underlying architecture of GenoPro has provisions for many types of user-defined tags, such as text, dates, ojbects and more, however the Tag Editor is not complete yet.

Layout Name = "Displays" The "Tag Permanent Name" is "new_custom_tag" (default) The "Tag Display Name" is "{YoB_YoD} {birth.place}" Then I select "Display/Displays/new_custom_tag" I want to se the birth date and the place... but over the picture is no text.... I think that is the idea of customize Tags..... but not work
