When you go to the genomaps tree menu and select a genomap sub-diagram, it hides the index frame (whether or not the index pane is pinned) and the detail frame.
I love that the genomaps open full size, but it does cause two navigation issues:
- If you click on any of the index menu items the index frameremains hidden. The indexes can be viewed only after clicking on the home menu
- Clicking on a name from the genomap does not cause the detail frame to show, although the maximise/restore icon works

A bit of a struggle sorting this one out but I think I got there in the end (see version 2011.07.21 http://support.genopro.com/Topic28332.aspx). Must be getting rusty (not surprising given the rain we have had here lately). The Genomap is maximised automatically when the appropriate Config Parameter is set. The script will now 'restore' the popup frame to its default position when an individual or family line is clicked and the Index icons should now function correctly.

I've tested the Narrative_2011.07.21 skin, and it your updates have done the trick perfectly!
http://familytrees.genopro.com/HarryCaper/Waltons_rosetint/default.htm
On only a vaguely related note... I notice that creation of the htm/svg/pdf genomap files are suppressed for blank genomaps (which is perfect), but if you take a look at the tree menu on the above site you'll see in the index "G" although it has no subordinates.
I have a number of blank genomaps in my Waltons test file called GenoMap1, GenoMap2, etc. (I have these because I marry together the files from the Waltons with my own tree, and use them as part of my help pages. It seemed simplest to create a dozen blank genomaps in my Waltons file so that when I use the FTP client to upload the Waltons files into my main family tree site I can be confident none of my real genomaps will get overwritten.)
I know I'm doing something peculiar, and it's no big deal for me. However new .gno files are created with 3 default genomaps: it might not be so unusual for someone to rename and use one for their tree, and fail to use/delete the others prior to publishing their narrative report.

Just realised this probably has a similar root cause as Post 28468

Empty genomaps index issue should be fixed with version 2011.07.23, but the source/places problem is something else. I had overlooked it until your prompt but I'll take a look at it when I next get some time.
